International symposium — Patrimoines en Libye et au Maghreb (Tunis, 19 and 20 June, 2023)

The LibMed team attended the international conference organized by IRMC Tunis to tackle many issues raised by the Libyan heritage (archaeological, manuscript and cultural). A workshop dedicated to the manuscript collections in Libya today followed at the National Library of Tunisia.

Thousand and one thanks to the whole team that made this event possible and great. The detail of 17 (!) contributions follows, with nice pictures of the participants and the audience. The high quality of the talks and the ensuing exchanges was unanimously praised.

It was for us the occasion to meet in person. Besides, we discovered colleagues deeply engaged in the preservation of the different Libyan patrimonies, strongly advocating their academic approach, but also heavily supporting the education of the next generations. These were thrilling moments for all of us.
